Bigtext Board ("we", "our", or "us") is developed by Sahil Partyal. This Privacy Policy explains how Bigtext Board handles information when you use our mobile application on iOS and Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
By using Bigtext Board, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the application.
Bigtext Board itself has no servers and no accounts. The information described below is collected by the advertising and platform services built into the app, and we are disclosing it here because those services run inside our app.
Google AdMob Ads
Free users see banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may automatically collect:
- Device identifiers (IDFA / GAID)
- IP address
- App usage and interaction data
- Device hardware & OS information
This data is used for ad personalisation (where consented to by the user) and fraud prevention by Google.
Approximate Location
We never request GPS access, and the app never asks for a location permission.
Google AdMob does use your IP address to estimate your general area — usually your city or region — so that ads match your country and language.
This is an approximate location only. Your precise or GPS location is never collected, stored, or shared.
Crash Logs & Diagnostics
If the app crashes or misbehaves, the app store sends us an automatic technical report containing:
- Device model and OS version
- App version
- Technical details of the failure
These reports never contain the text you type, your saved messages, or any image you select. We use them only to fix bugs.
In-App Purchases
Bigtext Board offers optional subscription plans processed entirely through:
- Apple App Store (iOS)
- Google Play (Android)
We never receive, process, or store your payment details. All billing is handled exclusively by Apple or Google.
Local Storage
Your messages and display preferences are saved locally on your device:
- Text you have displayed recently
- Font family & size
- Text & background colours
- Display mode settings
This data never leaves your device. No cloud sync, no account, no server storage.
Image Picker (Pro)
Pro users may add a custom logo image to the display.
- Images are stored locally only
- Images are never uploaded to any server
- Photo permission can be revoked anytime in device Settings
Wakelock
Bigtext Board keeps your screen on while a message is displayed — for example during a pickup or a presentation. This is a system-level feature only. No data is collected through it.
We hold no personal data about you. Bigtext Board has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side logging — we never see the text you type, the messages you save, or the images you add. To keep the app free, we rely on Google AdMob for advertising and on the app stores for purchases. Those services handle the technical identifiers described in Section 02, under their own independent privacy policies.
Bigtext Board integrates with the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Bigtext Board has no user accounts and no servers, so we hold no copy of your data and there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Everything the app stores lives on your device, and you can remove it at any time:

Bigtext Board is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Because Bigtext Board stores all of your content locally and does not transmit it to any server of ours, your data security is primarily governed by your device's own protections — device encryption, screen lock, and so on. Data that the advertising and store services do transmit is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
We encourage you to keep your device and operating system up to date.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page. For significant changes, we may notify you via an in-app notice or the app's release notes. Continued use of Bigtext Board after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
